Maple Pecan Pie Bars

Buttery, gooey, and perfect for fall, these maple pecan pie bars are a holiday favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 3/4 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1/4 tsp salt (for crust)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour (for filling)
  • 1/4 tsp salt (for filling)
  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. 2Pulse 1 1/2 cups flour, powdered sugar, cold butter, and salt in a food processor until crumbly. Press into prepared pan and bake 15 minutes.
  3. 3In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, maple syrup, eggs, vanilla, 1 tbsp flour, and salt until smooth.
  4. 4Stir in pecan halves and chopped pecans.
  5. 5Pour filling over the warm crust and spread evenly.
  6. 6Bake 20-25 minutes, until set, glossy, and the top is golden.
  7. 7Cool completely, then chill for at least 2 hours before slicing into bars.
